Battery cell quality is decided long before cells are assembled into modules. That’s why CMWTEC developed the Semi-Automatic EIS Test Machine – Advanced Cell Classifier: a compact, production-ready solution designed to test lithium-ion pouch or prismatic cells with an exceptional combination of speed, precision, and usability.

Semi-automatic handling, fully automatic test process

The workflow is intentionally simple and operator-friendly: cells are inserted manually on the tray fixture — and once the test is started, the test sequence runs fully automatically.

At the core of the machine is a movable tray table that transports cells from loading position into the test position smoothly and reliably.

To protect both product quality and process stability, the test unit is designed to support correct positioning and contact. It detects incorrect insertion (e.g., polarity or alignment) and triggers an alarm — ensuring incorrectly placed cells are not tested.

 

QR-code scanner captures the cell ID so test data can be assigned correctly. After testing, results are displayed on the control panel and stored in the database.
