End of line test lithium battery machines by CMWTEC deliver intelligent, automated quality assurance for lithium-ion, lithium polymer and alkaline battery cells at the final stage of production. As the demand for lithium battery technology continues to grow across electric vehicles, energy storage and consumer electronics, reliable end of line testing is critical to ensuring every cell meets the highest safety and performance standards.
CMWTEC’s lithium battery EOL test stations are universal intelligent systems designed to meet the highest standards of ergonomics, working environment safety and production efficiency. Each test station features a clearly structured operator panel with software-controlled test procedures, allowing multiple test parameters to be monitored and controlled from a single interface – without touching the battery.
Our lithium end of line test equipment supports a wide range of test procedures including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), open circuit voltage (OCV), capacity testing and safety verification. The semiautomatic EIS test machine additionally functions as an advanced cell classifier, enabling precise grading and sorting of lithium pouch and prismatic cells for quality-critical applications.
All CMWTEC lithium battery test stations can be configured as standalone units or integrated into existing production lines. Custom solutions are available for specific cell formats, test requirements and production volumes.

With German engineering at its core, our modular concept turns individual machines into a scalable production system that grows with your requirements.
You can start with a compact setup and integrate additional modules whenever your capacity, processes or product portfolio change. This keeps your investment efficient today and your production flexible for tomorrow.
Our modular machines can be combined into flexible production lines and various machine set-ups – exactly as your process requires. In addition to proven setups, we also support individual requests and tailor-made solutions for your specific needs.
Whether you choose an established combination or develop your own – we’ll help you build the perfect system.
CMWTEC offers complete solutions for battery production—ranging from stand-alone machines and fully automated lines to advanced testing equipment and smart handling systems. Our modular approach enables flexible configurations and seamless integration into existing processes. With the DataManager software, we also provide digital tools for process control, traceability, and production data management. From assembly to end-of-line testing, CMWTEC delivers efficient technology for the entire battery production workflow.

EIS stands for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The CMWTEC EIS test machine uses it as a quality test for lithium-ion pouch or prismatic cells before they are assembled into modules. It measures up to 32 impedance points simultaneously and predicts battery performance and lifetime in 1 second.
The operator places the cells on the fixture of the cell tray and pushes the tray into the test chamber. After the operator presses the start button, the test runs automatically. A scanner captures the QR code of each cell and assigns the test data to it, and all data are shown on the control panel and stored in the database. Multiple test profiles can be combined in one sequence, and the machine has a CAN bus and Ethernet interface.
Three pneumatically controlled gripping units contact the cell and distribute the pressure evenly. For pouch cells, the test unit recognises the different thicknesses of the pouch straps and checks the polarity, so incorrectly inserted cells are not tested and an alarm is issued. For prismatic cells, it recognises the position of the terminals to avoid too high or too low contact pressure.
The machine measures up to 32 impedance points simultaneously and predicts battery performance and lifetime in 1 second. Its compact design allows it to be set up in the production area or under laboratory conditions. It only needs a power connection and a pneumatic connection.
