The High Rate Discharge Battery Testing Machine is designed for high rate discharge test of batteries after the formation in the finishing area. The individual batteries supplied through the conveyor of the test machine are positioned exactly. The test stroke is lowered onto the battery terminals. By especially electrical measuring system (which is placed at disposal of the customer) batteries will be controlled. Therefore, the unit is provided with two control units for each end terminal, positive and negative.

A High Rate Discharge Test (HRD) machine tests lead-acid batteries for their ability to deliver high current under load after the formation phase. Individual batteries are conveyed into the machine, precisely positioned, and contacted by the test stroke. An electronic measuring system checks voltage behavior under load. Batteries that fail the test are automatically directed to a reject table. The ECO Line version is designed for efficient, reliable HRD testing at a lower investment level.
Both machines perform the same high rate discharge test principle and deliver precise, traceable results. The Premium Line version offers individual clamping tools for multiple terminal formats (DIN, JIS, Ford, FLAT) and is built for high-volume, fully automated production lines with short change-over times. The ECO Line version is optimized for cost efficiency and suits manufacturers with lower throughput requirements or those looking for a capable entry-level HRD solution. Both can be combined with a leak test machine.
Yes. The ECO Line High Rate Discharge Test machine includes a data interface for connecting to existing line data collection systems. It can be operated as a standalone unit or combined with other finishing line equipment such as the Air Leak Test machine or Acid Levelling unit. The reject table for defective batteries is included as standard, allowing the machine to fit into automated sorting processes without additional handling steps.
