The High Voltage Leakage Battery Testing Machine is designed for high voltage controlling for leakage of batteries in a finishing line. The individual batteries supplied through the conveyor of the finishing line are positioned exactly. By especially digital electrical test device system, batteries will be controlled. Onto one of the battery terminals the positive electrode will be pressed. The negative electrode will be positioned round the sealing line of the battery cover to the battery box and on the bottom of the battery box. While testing a high voltage (max.12 kV) is fed. If there is an electric potential between the electrodes it indicates a leakage of the battery. By a special function, the leakage point can be shown by burning.

It finds leaks in automotive car and truck batteries in the finishing line. The test covers the sealing line between battery cover and battery box as well as the bottom of the battery box.
The positive electrode is pressed onto one battery terminal, and four test strips of the negative electrode are placed around the sealing line and on the bottom of the box. A high voltage of up to 12 kV is applied. Sparks between the electrodes indicate a leak, and the leak point can be marked by local burning.
An eject unit after the test station rejects them onto a table at the end of the machine, and the failure is shown on the touch panel. Test data can be read out via RS232.
It tests up to 8 batteries per minute, depending on test time, for batteries from 20 to 70 kg. It can be combined with a discharge test machine as a combination unit, and side terminal contact is available as an option.
