The Acid Levelling Level Checking Battery Machine is designed for checking under- and over-filling of sulphuric acid in automotive batteries. The individual batteries supplied through the conveyor of the finishing line are positioned exactly. The fill stroke moves down and the levelling heads are lowered into the filling holes of the battery. The first station checks the acid level in the battery. If a battery is under filled it will be top-up the level, if a battery is overfilled it remove the acid out of the battery with diaphragm pumps. As a result, the acid level is accurate in all the individual cells due to an intelligent tungsten electrode system in each head for monitoring. The second station will check the levelling unit by lower the Check heads with a distance measuring system until each electrode contact with acid. The result will be displayed on the HMI for verification. An exact level achievement is guaranteed. If a battery failed it will be rejected on a table.

In the first station, the levelling heads are lowered into the filling holes. If a battery is under-filled, it is topped up to the level, and if it is over-filled, diaphragm pumps remove acid. Tungsten electrodes in each head control the levelling process.
In the second station, a distance measuring system lowers the check heads until each electrode is in contact with acid. The filling level of each cell is shown on the HMI for verification, and batteries with a level out of tolerance are rejected onto a separate table.
The level accuracy is ±1 mm of the final level. The machine handles automotive car and truck batteries from 20 to 70 kg at up to 8 batteries per minute, as long as the batteries are not over-filled.
The heads can be adjusted to the distance of the battery cover holes, and battery heights are set by a servomotor-controlled height unit. An optional distributor for different acid densities can be installed and pre-programmed. The filling speed is adjustable via a frequency-controlled acid pump, and change-over times are short.
Yes. The ECO Line acid levelling machine combines an automatic levelling process with semiautomatic handling and reaches ±2 mm at up to 6 batteries per minute. The Premium Line machine works with two stations, one for levelling and one for checking the level, and reaches ±1 mm at up to 8 batteries per minute.
