A fully automatic air leak test machine checks lead-acid batteries for leaks in the second cover after heat sealing. The batteries arrive on the conveyor, enter the test device one by one and are positioned and fixed under the probe. The probe is pressed onto the vent hole and the battery is pressurised with overpressure. If the pressure leaves the pre-programmed tolerance zone during the pre-programmed test period, a visual or audible signal warns of the defective battery.
The machine has three side test strokes for all sealed cover types of automotive car and truck batteries. The test unit holds three different test probes, each with a test adapter. The measured values for different battery types are pre-stored, and change-over times are short.
Yes. The End-of-Line Test Machine for the high rate discharge (HRD) test can be adapted to an air leak test machine as a combination unit. The air leak test machine has an interface to read out test data.
